About Forklifts.ie

Independent Irish forklift hire, sales and training hub. Built to give buyers the published prices, named dealers, and decision content the rest of the market doesn't.

What we are

Forklifts.ie is an independent Irish editorial and lead-routing site covering forklift hire, sales and training. We run no forklifts ourselves. We charge no listing fees on our editorial pages. The site exists because Ireland's forklift market is structurally opaque on pricing and split across dozens of dealers — and there was room for one place that publishes the rates, names the dealers and answers the questions people actually ask.

What we are not

How we make money

When you fill out a quote form, we route the enquiry to one or two vetted Irish dealers who we know respond promptly. The dealer pays us a small flat lead fee — typically €25–€75 depending on enquiry type — only if we routed a real, qualified enquiry. You pay us nothing.

This model has a built-in conflict of interest: we make more money the more enquiries we route. We mitigate it by being editorially neutral on which dealer is "best" — we route based on who covers your county and what kit you need, not who pays us most. The site's continued existence depends on the routing being good enough that dealers keep paying us, so the incentives line up over time.

The history of this domain

Forklifts.ie ran from 2002 to 2025 as the website of OK Lift Trucks Ltd. The original business is no longer trading on this domain. The current owner acquired the domain through normal registry channels in 2025 and rebuilt it as the editorial hub described above. Inbound links from the prior 23 years of trading point to a set of pages that no longer exist; we 301 those to the most relevant current page where possible.

Northwestforklifts.ie

Northwestforklifts.ie now redirects to our Northwest Ireland page. The brand was previously run by Able Machinery Trading Ltd in Killybegs (1997–2025). Routing the regional brand into a single national hub gives Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim and Mayo buyers one current directory rather than several stale single-dealer landing pages.
